It's Christmas At My House!

How about yours? Are you all ready?

I'm ready in the decorating department - but that's about it. All of a sudden we only have two weekends left until Christmas and all of a sudden I feel as though I have A LOT of shopping to finish up. And here I thought I'd be ready early.

Anyway.

I thought I'd share some pictures from around my house this past weekend - there are lots of little bits of Christmas sprinkled throughout the house. These pictures aren't too great - but that's OK, right?

When it comes to Christmas I'm a traditional girl. I like the red and green. I like hanging up the ornaments that Jeffery and Carter have made. I like putting up decorations that were in my home as a child and I especially like adding to my collection a little each year.

Here's the tree.

And the mantle. I hung up some candy canes....got the idea from Pinterest.

Here is our new addition this year - a pretty 2011 Hallmark ornament. That's going to be a tradition for us - a new Hallmark ornament every year.

I also bought this cool wooden star. It was only, like, two bucks. How could I pass that up?

This is the Advent Calendar that I made for Carter (well, all of us, really). Each day Carter gets to open a drawer and find out what Christmas Activity that we'll be doing each day. He loves it.

Here are a few other little Christmas bits from around the living room.

I love the Christmas display in the dining room. The green tree is something that Bob's mother gave him a long, long time ago. The Santa on the rocking horse is something my Mom put out in our house every year (thanks for passing it on to me, Mom)...and the banner, of course, was made by me. Fast and easy for this holiday.

Santa is hung by the door.

And he also hangs out in the kitchen with a fishing pole. (Bob's contribution to Christmas)

There are lots of other little odds and ends around the house, too. As a matter of fact, Carter has his very own tree (completely decorated by him) in his bedroom. He loves it.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas, my Internet friends. Posting will be light around here as I'm going to be enjoying the season and focusing on family.

P.S. I lost another .6 pounds this week at Weight Watchers. Not really what I was hoping for, but oh well. I'm at an even 17 pounds and I'm hoping for another 2 pounds gone this week!
